It's not always easy to sit in the traditional desk or table/chair in the classroom. Students will be more engaged and motivated by being able to choose a cube or perhaps they'll choose the ball chair. Maybe they'll stick with the traditional method. Whatever they choose, they will feel empowered and encouraged!
Armed with the knowledge of HOW to choose an appropriate option, students will come into the classroom each day and decide whether to sit in a traditional seat or choose flexible seating. In my experience, having flexible seating options in the classroom not only gives students a sense of choice, but also lets them know that there is more than one way to listen and learn.
