Teaching struggling students with ADHD, ADD, and other learning disabilities is one of the more high risk situations a teacher can face. The students in my Practical Writing class are reading and writing below grade level, but must pass a state test to graduate. Many of these students have the need to beat out a jam on the desk or stay in motion to feel like their thoughts can flow or connect. With your help I would like to give them a tool to help them center their thoughts and attack their learning gaps. If they can achieve success with filling the learning gaps they have a stronger likely hood of academic success and life long learning in their future.
