The iPads will be used for a variety of things in the classroom. As most students don't have access to computers or technology at home due to a variety of reasons, I want to give them the time and tools that they need while they are in my class. Students complete countless projects in my class and all of them involve technology. Day after day technology becomes a bigger part of our everyday life and having these iPads gives my students the same, if not better advantages to create more meaningful and technological based presentations in my class.
Students will have access to the iPAD's for research on projects, computer based software that will create different forms of presentations and also to complete work in school based software programs that help categorize students in appropriate learning styles and levels. Giving low income students access to technology that they don't have at home better prepares them for the future ahead.
