The best way to learn social emotional skills is through play. My students will use the Pet Vet Center, Pretend & Play Mailbox, Let’s Pretend Restaurant, and Doctor’s Office to practice turn taking, sharing, expressing their emotions, using their imagination, and so much more. These materials will facilitate a transition from associative play to cooperative play. Students will have an opportunity to be a veterinarian, a pet owner, write their own menus, eat at a fancy restaurant that they've created, write letters to their friends, be a mail carrier, a doctor, or a patient; the possibilities are endless! With the Touch of Color™ Adjustable Round Table - Blue - 48" Diameter they will be able to demonstrate the social skills they have been practicing. It will be easier for them to communicate with each classmate at their table which will help while they're engaged in group collaborations. It will also help make community supplies more accessible to all students.
