At our school, we are incredibly lucky to have a computer for each student. We use a lot of digital programs; reading programs, math games, coding, writing, researching, illustrating, etc.
The headphones provided by the school do not last. They’re old. They don’t fit their ears and are not comfortable. They break constantly. I find my students not wearing them and missing out on these programs! Some bring them from home but not all of my students have this ability.
Learning on a computer is an experience not many of my students experience. A lot of them don’t have internet access at home. Even more of them don’t have computers. So they aren’t learning typing, internet skills like browsing, safety, or things as simple as moving a mouse. These headphones would really help them to learn in a digital age.
