Our classroom library has a limited variety of nonfiction grade leveled books. I try to build independence for ALL of the students, including struggling and resistant readers. We need books that are related to our standards/content, chair bags for the students to keep and care for their books, and related supplies and tools to promote independence for struggling readers. The reading highlight strips are critical for training young readers to track the text accurately -- this builds greater confidence and independence while promoting successful reading skills. Providing engaging books and while students carefully store them is my wish! Thank you!!
