I am requesting a class set of Kindle Fires to provide middle school students with reading and other processing disabilities access to an expanding library of both fiction and nonfiction texts with multiple tools and features, including adjustable font color, size, and shape, text-to-speech options, expandable dictionary, and note capabilities. Kindle e-books enhanced with audio and visual tools can support children’s learning of word meanings, boost comprehension, and increase attention and engagement in reading activities. Reading on Kindle Fires boosts engagement, fosters independence, and allows each student to personalize their reading experience based on their unique needs. Kindle Fires are great for reading graphic novels, too!
