The four walls of my classroom at Sunnyslope High School simply cannot contain the promise, energy and passion of the senior high school students I am privileged to work with each and every year. In August, they arrive excited about the start of the end of their high school journey; by January, the anxiety associated with the finality of it all hits; by the end of May, the gratified faces plan their final steps here at Slope, those steps leading them on stage to receive diplomas. As their teacher, I am humbled and honored to share in this remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime journey with them. I hope they leave having taken some small part of our shared experiences with them. I know I leave every May forever changed by the lessons they have taught me.
