Students will be using a printer and laminator in order to publish their work into a book. The book publishing station will be open all school year long and students are encouraged to write and publish as many books as they'd like. Students will follow the entire writing process from start to finish. This process includes brainstorming, drafting, editing, revising, conferencing with teacher, publishing, typing, printing, illustrating, and laminating. By completing this process on a weekly basis, students will continue to build a plethora amount of skills. As students publish their books, they will be asked to share their work with their peers and then they will be placed inside of our classroom library. At the end of the year, students will be able to take their books home! The benefit of having a book publishing station inside of the classroom is twofold. My students will be able to be hands on in their book publishing project throughout the entire process and will also be able complete their books more efficiently.
