My students need more access to books. Third grade is the age that children begin to develope a love of reading. We currently do not have any novel sets in our library and are forced to barrow books from other schools. The choices are limited. Our class will read this book during our Literature Circle time, much like a book club. During this time the students will meet in small groups to discuss genre, plot, setting, and characters. Developing good comprehension reading skills and a love for reading are essential to acedemic success. It is the foundation of all other skills
