We look forward to re-engage, restore and rebuild our hana or work done at Puha stream and Muliwaiʻōlena stream. This year we take a dive into finding the "Wai Protectors" or Freshwater Protectors of our land by following the waters of Waimānalo. After a year of virtual we look to help our students to re-establish the importance of wai or freshwater in our community and bring back the real world experiences that Zoom cannot replace.
The classroom will once again ring with curiosity, passion and wonder learning how to protect wai or freshwater. The 3rd and 4th graders will use the binoculars to (nānā) look for our native (manu) birds and the landscape of our ahupuaʻa, Waimānalo. The books will add to our resources to gather information and the waterproof field journals will allow our students to record their kilo or observations while in the field.
