To get my new kindergarten students to acquire the amazing love of reading as quickly and painless as possible. The camera and books I am requesting will give my students a better opportunity to read and write along with my guidance. For example, we can mark our text easier for close reading, for sight words, for poems, and stories with pictures. They then can see through pictures produced by the camera and will grasp the English language far better. These students need interaction with different text. Our district is a Balanced Literacy proponent. We do guided reading, shared reading, and close reading. The expectations for the classroom are high. We need the books and a document camera to help my students achieve better knowledge. I have not met these new wonderful, wide eyed, loving and intelligent little humans yet, but I just can’t wait! Thank you for considering my request. The children and I look forward to obtaining the tools we so desperately need. This will help to make my new kindergarten students, amazing students. It will give them the start to a truly sound foundation, to a lifetime of learning.
