My goal is to create a warm safe place for students to learn and I think a clean classroom rug is essential. The rug provides so many benefits to the teacher and her students like organization, noise reduction, safety and excitement. My classroom set-up expresses the cleanliness and newness of the school year except for the rug with its permanent stains. It is very difficult inviting students to join me on the rug for learning time when it looks so worn. The classroom rug helps set the tone and the one I currently use does not set a good one so please help me bring color and management into my classroom.
