Having a clean, bright, and colorful rug in my Transitional Kindergarten classroom will be beneficial for my students because during whole group instruction they will have more space to sit and they will be more focused. In my classroom, a lot of instruction will take place when my students are sitting on the rug. For example, when singing the morning songs, when doing the calendar, during read alouds, sharing time, and whole group instruction before working independently. Also, during free time and center time. Students love reading books on the rug and playing with manipulative, puzzles, and toys. I care about my students' learning, that is why I want to have a cozy and colorful rug where they feel comfortable and happy to learn! If you donate some money to my project my students and I will be grateful to you for your generosity and your contribution for their learning experience.
