Third grade is a year of learning many new things. Multiplication is one of the many things my students will learn this year, and it's definitely an important mathematical skill. Multiplication is one skill that will be needed throughout their lifetimes. Flashcards are a quick reference to help students practice their multiplication facts wherever they are. (school, home, car, park, plane, etc.)
Let's add a twist to the way our students learn multiplication this year. That's where the jump ropes come in. As we are learning our facts, we will also be jumping to promote movement and rhythm. 2/3 of our students were learning from home for the 2020-2021 school year. It's time to get them moving, learning, and enjoying their education again. Movement and rhythm is known to help the brain focus. Focus helps with memorization. What better way to learn multiplication and promote a healthy lifestyle.
