This is my first year teaching and I do not have adequate classroom supplies for my students. The supplies I have requested will keep the classroom organized, giving students the ability to spend more time on the educational materials. The proper materials are a necessity for any job, so why should our students not have adequate materials to do their jobs? I have requested a pencil sharpener so that I do not have to send students to another classroom, interrupting another teacher's instructional time. I have also requested item such as privacy partitioner to help keep students honest and those wondering eyes on their own paper, bins to sort books for the classroom, and trays for students to put their completed work in. Organization is a life skill that everyone should be taught at an early age. I feel that it is my responsibility to teach my students not only the curriculum I am provided to teach them but life skills as well, given they are with me most of their day. This project will impact the entire class by allowing us to proficiently complete daily task.
