Supplies are often the hardest things to come by at the beginning of the school year, but they are also the most necessary for a successful school year. Many parents of my students have at least 2 kids in school who need supplies, and the cost of it all can add up, however, students shouldn't be at a loss because of this.
I want to help my students have a strong start with all the materials they need to succeed in 1st grade. Everything on our "Wish List" is necessary to help our classroom function on a daily basis, which will directly influence student learning. Ensuring that all students have pencils, notebooks, folders, and erasers, will guarantee that they have the tools to engage in all aspects of learning throughout the year. Additionally, supplies for Learning Centers, such as mp3 players, laminating pages, ziploc bags and whiteboard markers, will help students organize and participate in differentiated hands-on learning. Finally, the addition of poster paper, bulletin board supplies, markers, and crayons will allow my students to showcase their work in and outside of the classroom. All of these materials will assure that each student is given the tools they need to be able to fully engage in learning, which will ultimately set them up for the successful future they deserve.
