These materials are prepared microscope slides that have a variety of different specimen on them. From bacteria and plant cells to human cells. Many of them are cells of things students see everyday! Like flowers, seeds and skin cells! Often it is challenging for student to conceptualize how small a cell is, but with these slides they would be able to take a closer look! It will also give them an opportunity to use microscopes for the first time! Lastly, it will give them a chance to study different cells before coming up with their own creative model of one.
