Having the basic supplies necessary for class is a key aspect of students achieving their goals. If they do not have the supplies they need for class, they will struggle to be successful as well as feel that they can't be successful.
Meeting my students basic needs in the classroom is an essential part of helping them succeed. If they do not have the tools they need in the classroom, how can I expect them to develop the tools they need to succeed outside of the classroom? By taking away the worry of having the supplies they need in my classroom, I can help my students focus on achieving their goals instead.
My students need pencils, pens, paper, construction paper, and other basic supplies in order to complete the activities we do in class. In an effort to have more interactive classes instead of just reading a textbook or taking notes, we need more supplies to be able to interact with history.
