My students want to create a history of our small town utilizing oral stories from long-time residents, interviews with prominent members of the community, and collecting images of areas of interest.
We have some equipment, but it has a learning curve and some formats are no longer supported in our software/hardware setup. This equipment will give the students portability, ease of use, and a professional look to their video. All students I teach will have the opportunity to learn how to use this equipment, check it out for interviews and "B roll" collection, and document their progress on their individual projects. We plan to roll out a clear and concise history, dealing with the growth of the town.
