Kindergarteners spend a great deal of time on the rug! Every day on the rug we read, share, sing, dance, play and learn!
A clean, colorful, defined space for students is so important! Having a defined area of the classroom where children have a comfortable space to listen to a story, act out a play, participate in activities, sing and dance, lay on their bellies while playing a math game or reading a book with a friend is our goal. A large oval rug bordered in squares, one for each child, creates a circle of learning. Each child has a place and each child is part of a bigger circle of friends.
