Osmo fosters learning in key areas such as: social-emotional skills, creative thinking, art, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and common core. Coding teaches logic and problem solving, Tangram fosters spacial and relational skills, Word teaches spelling and critical thinking skills, Newton fosters creative problem solving skills, and Numbers teaches counting, addition, and multiplication. This is just a fraction of the available skills that Osmo will help teach my students. Oslo's games fire up multiple intelligences at once...spacial, interpersonal and motor skills; this is a way more nourishing experience than a simple touch-screen experience where you entirely zone in on the came and lose site of the outside world. Also, kid's aren't hunched over when playing Oslo-it's less time they spend sitting with bad posture.
