This classroom carpet will be used as a gathering space for our lessons throughout the day. Each block on the carpet will allow students to find a spot where they can be successful and learn without invading another friend's personal space. It's important that these kids have their own spot in which they have enough room to feel safe and comfortable while learning. The colors on this carpet will also enable us to play fun games while transitioning and calling on each other to participate in the fun.
This classroom carpet will allow my students a chance to really focus on the lesson at hand and will reduce the number of behaviors that occur when they feel their space is being invaded. It will enable them to learn and feel safe while gathering together in a large group.
