My students need ten Kore Wobble chairs to provide variety to their daily routines while in class. My students are very active while sitting and learning. They have always been given the choice to sit or stand while working to get the wiggles out if need be. Many students choose to stand throughout class work which then leads to our chairs being pushed around in our small space of a classroom. My students will be able to choose the seating that best fits their learning styles without having to take turns each day.
"Those would be the coolest seats ever to have in our room while we do our guided reading" and "Our teacher math time won't feel as long if we sit in those" are just a couple remarks I heard from my students after visiting a classroom down the hall who had two wobble chairs. Many other students expressed to me how great it would be to have those in our room to help during class work instead of standing when they get tired of sitting. Their words are what inspired me to move forward with this project. As a teacher, I know how important it is for students to be active throughout the day and with these wobble chairs my students are given a wide range of movement at their desks and work areas all while being comfortable. It will provide them the perfect seating options for those who need an outlet for restlessness, extra energy, may have a hard time focusing or just want to play instead of doing their work.
