My students are beyond energetic and have a very hard time sitting down and staying on track to get their work done. I have researched pedal desks for a while, but just cannot afford them. Research has proved to increase student engagement and minimize the behavior issues. Students will love riding their bicycle while working! This should help with the tapping, banging, running around, getting up to ask questions, and anything else a sixth grader can come up with doing just to move around. Please help our class out! One teacher said, "Seriously: Ever since the eighth grade math teacher installed under-the-desk bike pedals in her classroom, she's noticed a decrease in student fidgeting and an increase in student performance", WRAL reports. "Before, they were drumming on their desks, they were touching other people. They don't do that anymore". "[The kids] are not picking on each other, they are not needing to walk around, they are not needing to go explore. They are able to get their activity out and get their work done."
