My students live in an impoverished area in a school that is quickly falling into disrepair. Currently, I do not have any technology (laptops, tablets, etc) that the students can use on a daily basis. Today, there are so many wonderful apps for both reading (Lexia, Starfall, Tumblebooks) and Math (iReady, xtramath) that only enhance my instruction, however the students do not have access to them either at home or at school. As I lead students in small group instruction, these 4 Chromebooks will help the students that I am not working with at that time gain additional leveled instruction that will beat meet their individual needs.
