Kids in kindergarten learn the basics. But they need to put these things in their memory and hold on to them forever. Different classroom supplies like shapes, magnets and games help them to do this. Taking learning and using materials to play with concepts help kids to hold onto their learning for life. I have seen so many kids learn something and then forget. I believe with teaching the same thing in many different ways, that kids will retain and create new memory pathways.
