My classroom consists of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in a Special Education class (Special Day Class) for Moderate-Severe disabilities. In our classroom, my students are learning reading, writing, math, science, history, art, and life skills needed to foster their independence for the real world. Everyday, they communicate and interact with their peers, navigate their environments, and process their emotions. They are in the self-contained classroom (SDC), and are included in the General Education classrooms for a portion of their day. We are a community that embraces diversity and inclusivity for every individual coming from all walks of life. We believe that every student deserves to learn, regardless of ability and learning styles. We are grateful to be in a space that continuously provides us with opportunities for learning, growth, and love. Thank you for supporting our classroom!

About my class
