My students will be making projects and journaling with these supplies. They will be learning letters, sounds, words, and how to make sentences. They will be allowed to explore and create stories of their own to encourage creativity. Creativity is so important in a world that has lost the enthusiasm for individual thinking.
These materials will help provide wonderful literacy activities that will encourage the love of learning, reading, and writing for years to come. These journals and activities will be a wonderful keepsake for the parents and the children to remember where they started and how far they have come in the future.
Students will be making letter creatures every week. These creature all will start with the letter of the week. Examples: A is for alligator, B is for Bumble Bee, Etc. They will also be journaling several times a week in their journals. They may do a guided journal where I give them a topic, they may do a journal based on emotions (What makes you happy?), they may do a letter journaling, etc....
All the activities will them be stored in the storage cabinet. This is in order to see their learning progression through the year.
