My students come from various economic and cultural backgrounds. Students that take my class mainly have an artistic interest, dedication and enthusiasm they wish to pursue in a structured course of study. The Visual Arts program within my classroom is a carefully planned arts curriculum that promotes intellectual, aesthetic and emotional growth pertaining to each individual student. I teach Beginning, Intermediate, Proficient, Advanced, and AP Studio Art at the high school level. Discipline is emphasized as an essential component of a strong personal work ethic. My class studio assignments are designed to introduce students to a variety of media and the nature of the creative process. My students strive to learn new avenues while creating art.
