My scholars would benefit from The Allowance Game because it would be a fun and cool way to motivate them to practice math skills and would allow them to interact with their classmates. They would also get a chance to practice earning allowance and budgeting their money, which is a real-life skill.
My scholars would benefit from the Real World Problem Solving Kit because they would get to experience and solve real world problems that they will encounter everyday. The answer cards will provide scholars with instant feedback in the small group/independent centers. This kit would help to develop skills in multiplication and division; money; decimals and fractions; measurement; operations and algebraic thinking; and geometry.
Fractions are an important topic in 3rd grade. Most scholars find fractions difficult and intimidating. The Building Fractions Center would be a great, engaging way to build a better understanding of fractions. It would also give students a concrete understanding of how to build fractions—with a hands-on center that makes difficult concepts easy to grasp. he answer cards will provide scholars with instant feedback in the small group/independent centers.
