I am a native of Beaufort County and the Chocowinity area. I attended Chocowinity schools from Kindergarten through 10th grade. I graduated from D. H. Conley High School in 1991. I attended ECU from 1991-1997 and 2002-2004. This year begins my 20th year of teaching and what a journey it has been. I believe in authenticity and rigor in my classroom. As such I feel that providing a rich interactive environment is vital to all of our children. The proceeds from this project will allow me to bring in more technology resources and manipulative's so that I can reach all of my students learning styles.
