My students entered the school year without the supplies from home that are crucial to their learning. Thus, it has been difficult to engage students in lessons that utilize these necessary materials. The requested classroom supplies will be used throughout the day in everything the students complete. Pencils are a staple in the classroom beginning from the moment the students enter and write down their homework for the day. Glue sticks and colored paper helps my students create vocabulary foldables that promote their continued language development. Dry erase markers provide students with the opportunity for additional practice in order to gain fluency across subject areas. Anchor chart paper gives me the opportunity to create posters to hang around the room that will support my students' learning. All of these supplies and more provide stability for my students. It is much easier to learn when you have the proper tools to take on the challenge.
