I teach fourth grade in inner-city Akron, Ohio. North Hill is a richly diverse neighborhood, with a large refugee population. Roughly 65% of our students hail from countries such as Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, Jordan, Ghana, Congo, and many more. Our American-born students blend with our immigrant students in the most beautiful tapestry of learning. The sense of community at Findley CLC is felt the moment you walk through our doors. The American Dream is being realized each day through the efforts of our students and their families. Our students come to school each day not only to learn, but to feel loved and cared for. I strive to provide a learning environment that is safe, inspiring, engaging, and FUN!
