I have been teaching Special Education Resource at Sunset Elementary School for 9 years. We are an A rated school located in a high poverty community, one of few in our area. Despite the circumstances and challenges our student face each day, they come to school eager to learn and continue to try to break a cycle of poverty in relation to academic success.
With testing being such high stakes our students seem to have limited opportunities to engage in hands on and fun learning. I would like to provide them with as much opportunity for meaningful, engaging, hands on fun learning as possible.
