My students need tools to start their mornings out with creativity and critical thinking. In years past I have started the morning with a required worksheet. I have realized through observation that the worksheet isn't always providing the students with a positive start to the school day.
Students will use creativity and critical thinking skills using the contents of their morning tubs. Play is disappearing in our classrooms and this will be one way for my students to still be able to PLAY and be motivated morning learners!
Through the use of items I am requesting such as Magnatiles and Snowflake connectors. Many of the activities encourage concepts of STEM/STEAM activities and using one's imagination and creativity with the materials.
My vision is students having multiple items to choose from so they can start their day on a positive note. They won't even realize some "academics" are being taught through the FUN!
