By having a comfy place for my students to sit, my students will be more happier and more engaged. The couch will increase student participation and it will especially help with my autistic kindergarten students who are having a more difficult time transitioning into the school setting.
The couches will act as a more flexible place to learn! Students will be able to sit in couch and read a book alone or with a friend. This will not only promote learning but also develop social skills.
I want my students to be able to sit anywhere in the resource room as long as they are safe and learning!
