This is my 8th year as an elementary music teacher, and I truly believe I have one of the best jobs on the planet! The music room is a place where we learn to sing, dance, play instruments, create, and become leaders. My students inspire me each and every day to be the best teacher I can be! My goal as a teacher is to instill a love of music that will continue to grow as they do. We have a diverse population in our school, representing many cultures and levels of ability. The music room is a place that all of these students can achieve and succeed. It is amazing to see a student who may struggle in academics find that they can keep a great beat on the drum, or a student that may be more reserved socially find that they have a beautiful singing voice. What a joy it is to help these students find their gifts!
