This project will significantly aid in my students' ability to be free to move! Research has shown that students who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder display a strong need to be wiggly and fidget. This will give these students an opportunity to burn off excess energy by bouncing on a ball.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom management as I spend less time focused on behavior issues, and more time providing the appropriate stimulation that my students need. Sensory systems are still developing and the balance ball will allow growth with such development. Ultimately, students will reach their fullest potential within my classroom as their brains and their bodies engage in learning.
