Adding a carpet to our classroom will provide a comfortable place for my students to come together and learn. The carpet will allow us to have a large meeting space for classroom discussions and cooperative learning as well as a place for independent practice.
A classroom carpet would create a warm and welcoming learning environment to students that spend the majority of their day learning in the same space. I believe a carpet would provide my students with an alternative learning space where they can collaborate and actively participate during instruction with one another. This will also allow us to foster a deeper feeling of community in our "home away from home."
