The preschool classroom is a fun and engaging place where all students are welcomed and encouraged to be their best self. The class is a unique mixture of children that come from different languages, backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Almost all of our students are English Language Learners and 2/3 come from a low poverty household. We have worked to provide the students a safe and caring environment where they feel comfortable to take academic risks.
As their teacher, I strive to provide them with the most meaningful and engaging activities and experiences. We find that the students learn best through play and therefore we strive to provide them with a variety of different materials.
