We teach our students to help in the event of an emergency by activating the emergency response system and providing hands only CPR, but we need an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Kit in our school in case our worst fears are realized and a student or staff member needs urgent medical attention. With an AED in our school or at one of our after school functions, we can give someone the opportunity to receive advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation. More and more tragedies are happening with our kids and not just during school hours. This means we need to try to be as prepared as possible at all times for our children's safety.
