Hello my name is Mrs. Sotomayor and I am a first grade teacher at Fairview Artful Learning and Performing Arts School. In addition to teaching first grade, I am a member of our school PBIS (positive behavior intervention strategies) team. Positive behavior support is something I am very passionate about, and I am dedicated to changing our school climate through proactive teaching of procedures and expected behaviors and praising the positive! This is my first year in a classroom at Fairview after spending the last three in Title 1 intervention. I am really excited to begin my 12th year of teaching and I am happy to be back in first grade! I appreciate the support!
