The age of the internet has created a wealth of educational resources. Students today are well versed in using their electronic devices but there is a strong need for increasing internet research skills as well as overall computer literacy.
Having a class set of Chromebooks available for student collaboration groups will allow students to utilize interactive tools in the context of "their" world, and in their own time.
By using programs such as CK 12, an online multi-media learning platform that provides online and computer literacy skills, as well as adapting to a variety of student learning styles and abilities.
Students are able to log in to the on-line platform and access a set of activities that engage them in the current content being taught in class. They are able to retake practice assessments, watching educational videos, and participate in interactive games that increase mastery of content.
