Students today are limited exposure to socially share in the world around them. In our class, we need a sensory station to promote a social atmosphere. This station will allow the students to play in sand, noodles, lentils, beans, moon sand, etc. to create and share their creations with students in our class. They will be using them as academic learning stations to find letters, numbers, sight words, or object buried to complete activities.
Children learn through play and having a station designed to learn through tactical environments; vocabulary and peer relations increases. Cooperative groups are crucial to student development.
