These materials will provide my students with a variety of hands on learning experiences while building their fine motor skills. My students will be engaged and will have fun while learning to recognize lower and upper case letters, sight words and identify letter sounds to build words. Students will have daily exposure to these materials when working in work stations as they build automaticity and independence.
The Alphabet Sounds Tubs will help students identify the initial sounds of items. Students will sort each item with its corresponding sound. The Hear Myself Sound Phones will allow my students to hear themselves as they orally produce each letter sound. In this matter students will practice to produce each letter sound correctly. The Sight Word Puzzles and Lace A Word beads will provide my students with a hands on experience identifying the the first set of sight words in Kindergarten as they manipulate the puzzles and or beads to form each sight word. With the Giant Alphabet Beads students will practice letter recognition, identify the letters in their name as well as forming sight words and CVC words. Lastly, the Lower Case Alphabet Dough Stampers and Clean Sand is provide my Kinders the opportunity to learn as they use their 5 senses through sensory play. This will allow students to develop their senses and engage in active learning. I want to provide my students with a variety of experiences. I know these will be experiences that they will remember because they, as research has shown, learn through play.
Your generous donation will help build strong readers and writers. My students will eagerly want to come to school each and every day because they are having fun and learning all at the same time.
My students and I thank you greatly!
