These books will be used to help teach my students about important character traits throughout the school year in whole group, small groups or individually. I want my students to be able to engage in reading. Most students in my classroom do not own books at home. If I can expand my classroom library, I would be able to send books home with each child. Books are a great way for students to expand their vocabulary and use their imagination. I love watching my students as they learn to pre-read. Being able to hold a physical book and read to each other would help my students tremendously!
