My 8th grade students are split into 7 groups, which are named after the first 7 planets based on their location with respect to my center desk(the Sun). Our budget for science and math is drastically low. With the help of generous donors, we plan to use the 7 iClickers, one for each table to do some team building while assessing content knowledge. Every Friday we will do 3 pre and 3 post questions, in both the content for science and math class will be assessed. This will be done in the form of "jeopardy" or a "game".
iClickers give fast-response feedback, which allows the students to see how they did and compare it to the rest of the class. In the future we LOVE the idea of each student having a iClicker, but they are very expensive, and for now would be grateful to have a class set of 7 to be re-used for science and math classes. This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn and self-assess!
