Starting a school-based enterprise will teach my students how to become entrepreneurs and how to manage money. Being at a small school we don't have access to volume discounts when purchasing things like t-shirts for our school clubs, teams, and organizations. With these supplies the students can create their own!
We will use these materials to create school and town pride apparel for our community. Running this business will teach the students to manage inventory, process orders, use excellent customer service, and how to turn a profit. These are all skills that they can apply in their future careers or their own future entrepreneurial ventures. The money earned from this business will help to encourage participation in FBLA by relieving the financial burden from the students and their families.
This project will help improve the students financial literacy and show them that anyone can be an entrepreneur with some hard work and dedication.
