The active learning seats will allow my students to incorporate a wiggle when working at their tables. I have tried stability balls for my students but kindergarteners do not have the core muscle control to keep the ball under their bumpers which was very frustrating to both of us. I am excited to see this stool in action!
Kindergarteners need movement threaded through their day to keep them focused and actively learning. The brain needs breaks from sitting still--active learning comes from movement. The wobbly seat will allow that to happen naturally. These seats are not just for special needs students, everyone can benefit from a little wiggle~including teachers!
